Question: I bruised my ribs, how long will it take to heal!?
my horse tripped, and i fell while we were cantering!. the horses knee slid across my chest!. i bruised a couple ribs!. how long will it take to heal!? also, when i fell skin kind of peeled off my hand!. its swollen, and theres a big red spot, about a centimeter long!. but it wasnt bleeding!. how long will that take to heal!? thanks in advanced! The ribs will take weeks, even a few months, to heal!. The hand will heal much faster, maybe within a week or two, especially if you keep it clean and apply ointment!. I'd be a bit concerned about the swelling, though - this could mean more infection, needing antibiotics!. You should see a doctor to be sure (also to get an x-ray to be sure you haven't also cracked ribs)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say maybe a month before you're fully back to your normal self!. I broke 2 ribs last year and it wasn't healed for 3 months! And as for the hand, I would say that would probably heal within a week or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
