Trying to quit smoking for good?!


Question: Trying to quit smoking for good!?
does anyone have any ideas on how to beat nicotine cravings!? i use to smoke daily however i fell pregnant and quit cold turkey i had no problem giving up smoking and did not have one smoke while i was pregnant!.!. however ive now had my baby and my craving seems to have returned i wont lie ive given in and had the odd one or two especially if i am in a social setting where smoking is something i use to do like if i have a drink!.!. i want to quit but im finding it very hard!.!.i felt so healthy during my pregnancy and so proud that i had given up but it seems i celebrated to early as i feel like all the cravings are hitting me now!.!. has anyone been through this Www@Answer-Health@Com

find ways to celebrate "not smoking" or reward yourself!. Go whiten your teeth, or have a kitty you put all the money you would be spending on cigarettes and each month go buy yourself something with it!. While you were pregnant you had "a good reason" to convince yourself not to smoke but now you have lost your drive because your not as concerned about your health as your babies (like most ppl)!. Make a promise to yourself and keep it!.!.!.!. tell yourself everytime you smoke a cigarette you must call and tell all the important ppl in your life!. You will start to feel a little "shame" when you call and disappoint them!. I have heard the first couple years are like that when it comes to cravings!. I quit for 3 months (not pregnant) but went back but im gonna keep tryin till I get it right!. Some of those thngs are what got me through the 3 monthsWww@Answer-Health@Com

You just have to really want to stop, like you did when you were pregnant!. Once you absolutely don't want to smoke anymore then the cravings are irrelevant, they are annoying but not painful or debilitating!. The difficult part is making sure that your desire to be a non-smoker stays stronger than any desire to smoke!.

You need to WANT to quit, just as you did during your pregnancy!. Think of how many more years you will spend with your family once you do quit!. Avoid social gatherings where drinking will lead to smoking!.!.!. for now!. Drink plenty of water!. The cravings will become easier to manage, but the desire to quit and stay quit is up to you!.
