My back really hurts now?!


Question: My back really hurts now!?
I lifted up this heavy box and now my back is really hurting!. What should i do!. I hurts really badly!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A back massage would be highly recommended, but a hot bath is a good substitute and a whirlpool is even better!.Next time either ask for help or pick up the box and use your bent legs and straighten them to pick up heavy objects (try not to hunch over and straight/lift)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take a hot shower and let the hot water hit your back!. Then after you're all dried off, make an ice pack and put that on the lower back for 15-20 minutes!. Take Motrin (you can take up to four tablets for each dose if you have the over-the-counter kind that are 200mg) or Tylenol!. The best thing to do is rest and ice packs alternating with heating pads - do it every hour!. If you are comfortable lying down, lay flat and put a pillow under your knees to relax the back - do that for awhile or so long as it is comfortable!. Hopefully, the medicine will kick in and help a bit!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

First off, DON'T MESS WITH BACK INJURIES, don't get too tough and just lay down!. I've hurt my back in innumerable ways between working horse barns, bike accidents, kickball, skateboarders!.!.!. First take ibuprofen or another anti-inflammatory to reduce swelling and alleviate pain, and stress it as little as possible until morning!. You don't know what you've done yet- is the pain upper!? Mid!? Lower!? Dull!? Sharp, like a torn ligament!? Some injuries require heat (most of mine have) some require cold!.
