Question: Is my rib broken and what should i do!?
I'm wondering if I should go to a doctor!. My rib has been in pain for the last week!. When I sneeze or touch it, I hear a cracking noise!. Is there anything that can even be done for a broken rib!? Is this something a family doctor can cure or who should I go to!? I have just moved and don't have a dr!. in this area!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've broken my ribs twice!.!.!. It sucks!. You don't really need to go to the doctor unless you're experiencing extreme pain!. Broken ribs are uncomfortable and can be painful but aren't a huge deal!. It could be possible to puncture an internal organ, but if you were at risk for this your rib would be dislodged enough to where you would definately feel it!. It would be excrutiating pain and since the organ they'd most likely puntcure is your lung, you'd probably cough up blood!. You'd definately know if your lungs were at risk for being punctured!. When my ribs were broken the would sometimes crack or make that noise!. It sounds like that is your problem!. The reason I say that there's no point to go to the doctor is because they can't do anything for it!. Ribs usally heal by themselves, so the most a doctor will do is give you some pain killers!. Take some Tylonol, take it easy on your rib, and save yourself time and money by not going to the doctor!. It really isn't a serious issue!.
