Question: How do you relieve a tight muscle in the calves!?
Answers:
Change up your diet a bit!. Sometimes eating hot, spicy food makes the calves tight!. Try some vitamin E also!.
Massage the muscle and go for a slow walk!. Try ice & heat alternatively to get the blood flowing to that area!.

This is fairly easy to control!. Assume a long sitting position or lie on your back!. Keep the legs straight especially the knees!. Have the muscles of the feet pull them up towards the knees!. You will know it is working as there will be a pulling sensation in the calves!. Hold that pull for five seconds and relax!. Do that ten times right before you get out of bed in the morning and right before you go to bed at night!. Once you learn this simple movement it can be done sitting, standing, or as given earlier!. Another movement is to squat down but keep the heels on the floor!. This initially may require you to hold on to something but with practice you should be able to stay in that position for long periods!. You need to stay there for at least thirty seconds!.
