Question: Will hernia surgery be covered by a new health plan if I was diagnosed under an old one!?
I'm a recent college graduate and have been paying for my own health insurance!. I recently found a bump in my groin, went to the doctors and discovered it was a hernia, albeit a small one!. Though I don't have a job right now, I obviously expect to get one in the next couple months!. When I do, I will want to move to their insurance plan!. At some point I'm going to need to have my hernia surgically taken care of, whether it's in 3 months or 3 years!. My question is, will this be covered by a new health plan even though I was diagnosed under an old one!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Employer-provided health insurance cannot deny you based on a pre-existing condition!.!.!. although they may deny coverage for THAT condition for a year or so!. Just find out!.!.!. each company and even the plans are different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Unlikely, as this is a pre-existing condition!. It's like buying house insurance after your house gets damaged!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
