I quit smoking 5 days ago. Is it normal to be...?!
Question: I quit smoking 5 days ago!. Is it normal to be!.!.!.!?
!.!.!.Coughing violently every morning like I'm still smoking 20 a day!?
For the first hour or so when I get up, I'm coughing and sneezing like mad and a bit out of breath!.
Is this anything to worry about or is it my lungs trying to sort themselves out after all the abuse I've subjected them to!?
I'm fine after about an hour or so and had started to feel the benefits (not out of puff when I exert myself etc), but this morning I feel dog rough!.
Still not going near another ciggie again, though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

WELL DONE, YES ITS NORMAL!. YOUR BODY JUST GETTING RID OF TAR N NICOTINE!. YOU ARE SO AMAZING JUST THINK HOW MANY CIGARETTES YOU HAVEN'T PUMPED INTO YOUR BODY, IF YOU SMOKED 20 A DAY THATS 100 CIGGIES YOU HAVE NOT HAD!.!.!.!. KEEP IT UP I PACKED IN 4 YRS AGO AND ADMIRE ANYONE FOR DOING IT!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It's totally normal that you are coughing in this way!. When you smoke the tar that you inhale sticks to your lungs, on top of the all of the other tar buildup- so if you smoke every day that gunk just keeps adding up!. After you quit the gunk loosens up and you are able to get rid of it by coughing violently!. It's a good thing, you're actually healing, though it doesn't feel like it! Good luck and congratulations on quitting! I know it's hard!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, I suspect you will cough for some weeks, but it should get better, unless you've picked up a chest infection - that isn't necessarily smoking related!!!! It is winter now and the bugs are rampant!.!.!.!.!. I quit smoking about 7 years ago, and I think it took me about 6 months before I started to notice any real effects on fitness improvements!. Hang in there, each day is a day smoke free, benefits are slow to manifest, but long term effects are great!. Just look at your bank balance after only one month, and you'll see great benefits there!.!.!.!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm proud of your determination! It is normal, because the tar buildup in your lungs is loosening and they are naturally clearing themselves of some of the leftover toxins!.

You have cilia, little hairs in your lungs that move to shift the crap out!. Smoke paralyses these, but once you stop they go back to work!. That is why you are coughing, so hang in there!. You will feel so much better!. And so much fatter, lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
