Answers:
Believe it or not your friend is very close!. The biting or 'mastication' of your jaw is the actual physical mechanism which moves ear wax along your ear canal, therefore when you yawn it does to some extent push your ear wax along!.

Ear wax is secreted in your ear to help prevent debris from entering the ear as well to some extent ward off infection!.

However, people with excessive wax build up in the ear ends up getting stuck within the ear canal therefore requires some type of oil to help soften the wax in order for it to be more easily removed!.

Another thing relating to the topic, people who have been swimming have water build up in the ear; chewing gum actually helps relieve the excess water buildup!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry, but the answer is no!. The only way to really clear the wax from your ears is to use olive oil drops!. While cotton swabs seem a good idea, they actually push the wax further down the ear canal and can cause ear aches and other ear problems!.
Yawning may clear a path in the wax in your ear, but it wouldn't clear your ears of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Never heard of that!. If you have trouble with ear wax, get it taken care of by a doctor!. Or get one of those little water bulbs, put warm water in it, squirt it into your ear, and let the water drain out the wax!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
