Question: Advice please, don't want to die in my sleep!.!.!.!?
My doctor prescribed me Seroquel, it helps me sleep but it's impossible for my husband to wake me up during the night!. He told me today that last night he was yelling my name and shaking me to wake me up, and that my pulse and breathing was very slow, and he almost called 911 before he half woke me up!. I never have any recollection of what happens when I'm half-awake when I go to bed taking my medication!. Is this a serious side effect, or is this normal!?
I told the doctor that it makes me drowsy, but I didn't know that it did this!. Should I ask him to lower my dosage!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seroquil is a strong antipsychotic mood stabilizing drug often prescribed for sleep in younger gen!. Never the less , sounds as though the dsage needs to be adjusted , since no size fits all!. No-one should be that difficult to arouse, so please contact M!.D!. office, speak with nurse and explain the excessive sedation, and request her to speak with Dr!. or make an appt!. There are many drugs that can produce restful sleep without dependence or excessive sedation!.

I'm no expert, but this certainly does not sound normal!. Don't take it any more until you talk to your doctor!. Tell him/her exactly what happened with it, not just that it made you drowsy!. They will probably have a few suggestions from there!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
OK you need to call your doctor and tell him what your hubby said!. You do need it lowered!. Maybe if you can !.!.you should cut it in half, but call the doctor ASAP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Call your pharmacist right now!. If they're closed, find a 24-hour pharmacy and ask the pharmacist!. They are so smart and helpful!.

honestly, that is pretty much what serquel does to you!.!.!.i know many people on it and even tho im not perscribed it, ive tried a few from people just to get a good night sleep!.!.!.that stuff is wayyyyyy to strong!.!.!.i wouldnt take it!.!.!.now as far as the low pulse and stuff, you have to realize your sleeping and when your sleeping all those things are slowed down!.!.!.and yes u really wont wake up easy at all when your on it!.!.!.i duno what ur mg is but they come in many different mg doses!.!.!.25, 50, 100, 300, 600!.!.!.!.!.so maybe get the 25s or maybe just get sum xanax for the sleep!.!.!. i take xanax for sleep and anxiety and it works very well but doesnt have the nasty side affects of the serequelWww@Answer-Health@Com
