Well honestly, if you call 911and are unable to speak, and you let them hear you breathing!. They will be able to tell that you are having trouble breathing!. Most likely what the dispatcher will do is send both police and EMS to your home!. They will tell EMS to "stage" at the end of your block!. The police officer will go on to your home and make sure it is safe for EMS to proceed on!. So to answer your question all your would have to do is call 911!. Breath into the phone!. Stay on the line, and unlock your door!. Lastly just wait for help to arrive!.!.!.They would figure it out!. However usually people having trouble breathing can speak; even if it is one word at a time between breaths!.
PS!. Despite what someone else said, it does not "cost money to call 911"!. As long as you feel that an emergency exists, it is okay to call 911!. Most places also have a non-emergency number for police fire and ems!. As far as "putting a needle in your lung" as one answer said!.!.!. I have no idea what they are talking about!!?! You don't!. If your on a home phone, one they can pinpoint exactly where you are, they will automatically send a police officer to check out what's going on if they don't get a response from the person on the phone!.
