Question: I'm panicking!.!.!.my sister's toenail is coming off!!!! What should I do!?
Omg!.!.I've never seen this before and I'm so nervous and scared!. Her toenail has been bothering her for months!.!.I think she stubbed it against something few weeks ago!. It was partially coming off near the cuticles end , so I just told her to put a bandage over it thinking that maybe it'll heal and come together again!. But just now, she was sitting down on the couch and she rubbed her foot against the blanket and it came off the nail bed!.!.but not entirely!. She's asking me to help her but I'm scared and I have the weakest stomach in the world!. I need some advice on what to do!.!.!.do I have my brother take it off or is it supposed to stay on or what!?!? :( :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Let if fall off!. It will take a while, but another one will grow back!. Nail beds have a great way of taking care of themselves, but maybe she can go see a podiatrist and have it taken off and treated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Um this happened to my sister 2 and she dropped a weight on her nail and it was falling off!. We then took her to the hospital and the nurse put this glue on it and said that it would fall off eventually and not to worry!.

the same thing happenedd to me, i hit my pinky toe off of a heating vent and it cut it right in half, my nail fell off, and it did hurt, but only bandage it when something might bother her, like a shoe or blanket when she is sleeping, otherwise Lett it breathe it will groww back, but keep an eye on it for infectionWww@Answer-Health@Com
it's fine my husband and daughter did the same thing, it was bound to fall off!. it'll be okay, it will eventually grow back!. you can't put it back on, once it's lifted off the skin that's it, all you can do is wait until it regrows!. don't bandage it, it needs to breathe unless when she is wearing her shoe it bothers her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hmmm nasty!. I would say its probably going to naturally fall off anyways!. If its not the whole nail!.!.!.you can get the acurlic nail kit & fix it by mending it back on!. I slammed my pinky finger in a door one day & half the nail eventually fell off!. So I went to the nail salon & they put an artificial nail on the half of it and it grew back straight!. She needs to make an appointment with her family doctor and get it fully removed!. I had it done a few months ago; isn't a big deal at all!.
If it falls off at home, it isn't a big deal!. Just make sure she soaks it in lightly soapy water at least twice a day so no infection gets started!.
