Difference between Oxycodone and Percocet?!
Question: Difference between Oxycodone and Percocet!?
I have taken Percocet before, but my doctor gave me a prescription for oxycodone today because I am having surgery tomorrow on my knee!. Aren't they the same medication!? Do they work the same!? I just want to make sure that they are going to work because this surgery is going to be painful (his words, not mine) and I want to be able to get some sleep!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Both of the people who answered before me are wrong!. Percocet is oxycodone with tylenol!. That is the only difference between the 2 drugs!. They work the same!. He may have given you the straight oxycodone because he anticipates you will need to take it for a while and does not want you to be taking high doses of tylenol, which can damage your liver!. Oxycodone is not hydrocodone!. Hydrocodone is the narcotic ingredient that is found in Lortab or Vicodin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Once again, Rachel beat me to the correct answer!. The biggest difference is the size of the tablet, with the percocet larger to accomodate the tylenol!. A 5mg oxycodone tablet is quite small in comparison!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Percocet is hydrocodone which is stronger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
