Try gargling with warm salt water it may sting a little but it will help!. Then wrap your neck in a warm towel!. The salt will help kill the infection and the warm towel will sooth your neck!. Also suck on ice chips to keep hydrated so you don't have to swallow and cause further stress on your throat!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doubt there is much more you can do in order to try to safely relieve throat soreness, other than to try gargling with salt water, 1/2 tsp salt to 1/2 glass of water!. Please don't use hydrogen peroxide for gargling as this would create a severe respiratory issue (as it foams and covers the airway)!. Try the salt water and know this will be short lived (your reference to virus)!. Good luck!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DON'T take motrin or any other over the counter pain medication except for Tylenol!. Since the Tylenol and lozenges didn't help there really isn't much you can do!. Hopefully it will pass soon!. I just wanted to reply to stress the issue of not taking any other over the counter pain meds!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could try Motrin, or any other type of anti-inflammatory!.!.!.(only 2 caplets)!.!.!.however, if you are in your last trimester you CANNOT take anything!.!.!.not Tylenol, not Motrin!.!.no aspirin!. Try gargling with a salt water solution!. That may help kill the bacteria so you get rid of your soar throat faster!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sure sounds like strep!. If it is not better soon, I'd request another test!. Have you tried gargling with warm salt water!? Or sipping hot broth!. If something cold sounds good, try some ice chips!. Hope you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
