Popped muscle in inner thigh during splits?!

Question: Popped muscle in inner thigh during splits!?
a few months ago probably around august or july i was stretching in my dance class and they had me do a stretch that would help loosen my inner thighs so i could do the splits for my solo dance!. while stretching forward there was a pop in the muscle i was stretching ( i think it was a muscle) and it felt more like pressure release at first and it didn't hurt at all for the rest of the day so i thought it was nothing!. then the next day i tried walking on it and omg i could barely walk!. i didnt stretch it until 2 weeks ago i applied heat to it, ice, tylenol, ibuprofen, advil and the pain went away but now that im forced to stretch it again due to the fact that i have to do the same dance again im noticing that i feel pinches when i stretch it and idk what to do about it!. i have no choice but to do the dance but im scared that if it pops one more time that could be the end of my dancing forever!. please i need any suggestions as to what i did to that muscle or groin or whatever it is and also what i should do!. again its something in that poped in my inner thigh and it feels like its somewhere between my crotch area and my mid thigh!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
My friend attempted to do the splits and her hip popped out of place!. She has had problems with her back and hip ever since!. I think you might have done something along these lines!. I think the only way you can get over the injury is with rest and physical therapy!. I would go to a sports therapist if I were you!. Also, it depends on the pain!. If it just felt like you worked out a bunch, the type of sore after lunges, then you will probably be fine!. If it hurt like you tore something, well you probably did!. If this happened, you will need surgery to fix it!. Definitely go see a doctor!. I wish you the best! Good luck and God bless!Www@Answer-Health@Com
