I have a pain in my collarbone area?!

Question: I have a pain in my collarbone area!?
For about the past 3 weeks, when I wake up my collarbone is extremely sore!. It gradually lessens, but it is still sore when I move my shoulders by the end of the day!. I don't think I've changed my sleeping position, so I don't think thats the main problem!. What else could it be!? Thank you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Besides the lower legs the upper arms are extremely sensitive to growing pains!. If your over 21 its not that!. Also it could be from strain through out the day and your endorphins release a pain chemical to fight the pain through out the day!. So when you sleep the chemical fades and that is why when you wake up its sore!. So i suggest when you wake up do a static stretch of your arm across your torso to stretch the ligaments around the clavicalWww@Answer-Health@Com

Just because you haven't changed sleeping positions doesn't mean the condition is not a result of how you sleep!. It's possible that the way you sleep has gradually been affecting this area, and it's just now presenting itself!.

This seems to be the most reasonable considering, judging by your description, the pain lessens the longer you are away, and is worst in the morning!.

It's also possible you bruised the bone without realizing it, and the way you sleep, while normally fine, is aggravating the injury!.

If the pain persists for a few weeks, I would consult a chiropractor or physical therapist, but until then just apply ice and maybe sleep in a way that completely avoids any pressure on that area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i broke my collarbone once!.
