What could this popping of my knee have been?!


Question: What could this popping of my knee have been!?
i was taking off my shoes and i heard my knee pop!. it hurt really bad for a couple of seconds, then i laid on my couch and when i got up to walk again, it didn't hurt!. im looking online for wat it could've been, and everything about popping sounds point to torn ACL!. im scared :[ what do you think it is!?
