My throat has been hurting since last week, it feels dry when I swallow, when I drink water its worst, when I drink koll-aid or other things its fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should see a doctor!. You'll have to anyway, if you have your tonsils removed, but it's a medical decision, not to be decided at long-distance by strangers on-line!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You could have strep throat in which case you would need an antibiotic!. Go see your doctor and if that's what it is the doctor can prescribe you one!. Your pain should then go away in a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They don't really remove tonsils anymore!. Usually if your sure like 5 times in a year!. Just keep taking sore throat medicine!. It should get better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Go to the doctor and get a strep test!. They will tell you if your tonsils are enlarged, or if it's just strep or whatever!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
