I broke my elbow a few years back, and the doctors just put it in a sling!. Its something about trying to keep the joint moving as much as possible!. If they put it in a stooky it will be harder to move when its freed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on the injury itself!. It might be a simple case of using plaster or it might need pinning/wiring!. My baby is 8 days old today and was born with a fractured elbow!. She had it wired together at only 2 days old and because baby's bones heal so fast she is going in next week (2 weeks after the original surgery) to have the wires removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
IF the bone was broken clean through and off track/dislocated you sure would need to have it set!.!.!.and only an orthopedist can do that!. Chances are if the break is that bad, surgery will be needed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
