Hard lump in finger what is it?!

Question: Hard lump in finger what is it!?
About 3 months ago I maged to slam my finger down onto a metal cocktail skewer, it went right through the skin and I think that it only stopped when it hit bone, it was painful as if bruised for about a month, then it just hurt when I rubbed it and I had a small lump apparently attached to the bone, now I have a small hard lump that kind of floats around the area underneath my skin that doesn't hurt at all!. Is this a peice of chipped bone and what should I do about it!? Does it need to be removed or can I just leave it to do it's thing!?
My husband said it could eventually rise to the surface and make a big wound is this true!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like a lump of scar tissue floating round in there!. If it doesn''t bother you i wouldn't worry too much - if it needs to come out your body will expel it or reabsorb it!.
It may be a ganglian which tend to pop up after an injury - they are just lumps of gristle that float around!. Given time, they will go away!.
If it is affecting movement or causing you pain i would see a doctor just to double check it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Silence is probably right - firstly it could be scar tissue, bone fragment, or a ganglion which is unrelated to the injury!.
However if any of these possibilities affect the movement in your hand go an see your doctor!. If it is a ganglion then it will just stay as a nodule, which may grow and cause pain when knocked or bumped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I trapped my finger in a car door a few years ago and cut the tendon in half, now i have a hard lump under the skin ,its scar tissue where the tendon healed ,if you are really worried i would go and see your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably blood clot that has calcified!. Xrays will help to determine if it is a chipped bone or what!. See your doctor if the lump bothers you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
