Thumb injury please help?!
Question: Thumb injury please help!?
about 4 days ago i jammed my thumb playing basketball!.!.for the next couple days my thumb killed and was swollen and bruised!. The pain and bruising is down now but i still cant do allot of stuff with my thumb, and still when ever i put pressure on my thumb i will get a sharp pain all of a sudden and it will kind of feel like it pops out of the socket!.!.!.
the thumb doesn't look misshaped or anything but when i hold out my palm there is a indent line going horizontal across my palm at the bottom on the thumb side!.!.!.
what is wrong, should i just let it heal naturally!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doesn't sound like a dislocation!.
A joint (connection of two bones) of a finger or the thumb is disrupted (when a bone has slipped out of joint) due to an excessive bending or twisting of the joint!. Dislocations are usually recognizable; there is obvious deformity and the joint appears crooked!.
It may be a thumb sprain!. A thumb sprain is an injury to your thumb joint that causes a stretch or tear in a ligament!. A ligament is a strong band of tissue connecting one bone to another!. You usually have pain, swelling, and tenderness in your thumb!.
A sprain usually occurs when there is an accident!.
