Answers:
i 'stubbed' my fingers A LOT of times while playing football--nothing was ever serious!. it usually healed within 2 days--it will be stiff because you haven't bent your finger in a while!. So it's probably a sprain!.

even if you have cheerleading practice!.!.!. you need to rest it!. they usually put a finger sling for these things so you don't re-injure or agitate it more!.

if it persists for more than a 4 days or if it gets worse, you should see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im definitely not a finger doctor but I would say that you either broke your finger or just chipped off a small bit of the bone there, It happened to my brother a few times when he played football in high school!. I very much recommend you see a doctor because it sounds like either way you need medical help!. They will probably give you this plastic thing to put around your finger that keeps in straight so that it can heel correctly!.
Cheerleading might have to be put off a week or so!.
Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hehe well I've had the same exact thing happen to me before playing football in a real game and played through it!. Pretty much seemed that as I loosened it up it felt better!. But if its very severe you may have possibly broke it or something otherwise my guess is a sprain!.

Also I congratulate you on being able to type all this with the hurt finger hehe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
