Question: Elbow Popping, Good or Bad!?
Hey , thanks for taking the time to read my question!. Normally when people pop there elbow joint or ulnar nerve they do it by extending their arm!. They say this is bad for you, ive searched the internet and i cant find any help concerning the way i pop mine!. Imagine your arm is in the same position as if your hitting your chest like an Ape or George of the Jungle!. Your arm should be somewhat flexed , and between the mid forearm to wrist you put pressure onto your chest, if you do it correctly you feel pressure in your elbow and possibly pain , however when i do it i get a loud and low tone crack of my elbow!. It feels amazing but it can hurt right before it pops, much like your back or neck!. Anyone know if this is damaging to an arm, i play baseball for a small college in Idaho and am looking out for the long run!.

I get that to when I bend my arm it feels like it needs to get popped so I extend it really fast

No, the short answer is that it is not dangerous to crack your elbow nor will it lead to arthritis!. It is assumed, however, that you are careful when your crack your joints!. Be sure to extend the elbow gently when cracking it, as gently as possible!. If you overextend your arms when attempting to crack them then it is possible that you could injure yourself or someone else!. Use caution and enjoy!
