I got a cortisone injection on Tuesday.?!

Question: I got a cortisone injection on Tuesday!.!?
I had a cortisone injection into my shoulder on Tuesday morning for shoulder bursitis!. I was injured in a car wreck in 0ct!. and between my shoulder and spine, this is what they have done!. It is now Thursday afternoon and the pain still has not gone away!. It's worse than before!. It went numb for all of 30 to 45 minutes, and then came back!. The pain is now more intense than ever!. And I can't use my left arm!. I can't lift or rotate it because the pain is too severe!. It feels like my arm is going to fall from the rest of my body!. I don't know how else to explain it!. But it's like it's being pulled apart at my shoulder!. Anyone know what could be wrong!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Irritation with cortisone injections is actually quite common!. You can try icing the area to help reduce the irritation!. Normally an anesthetic is administered along with the cortisone which helps with the numbing but this usually wears off fairly quickly!. If the pain is still there after a day or two it is possible that the pain is being caused by something other than inflammation which is what the cortisone helps in reducing!. If their is no inflammation for the cortisone to reduce than you will not notice any benefits from the injection or they will only be very short-lived!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have what is called a " Cortisone Flare "!. You can google it to get more info!. However I can tell you it is really common, and will get better after 4-5 days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
