Question: Do I still need to go to the doctor!?
I dislocated a finger over a year ago and had to go to the ER!. I popped out again but popped back in!. Do I still need to go!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you could have an injured (avulsed) tendon causing laxity of the joint!. Two scenarios here: 1 total avulsion (complete rupture of tendon) or partial avulsion (torn tendon!.) By your description it sounds like a partial disruption!. Try physical therapy to strengthen the intact tendons!. Take a general joint-formula supplement with chondroitin sulfate!. An occasional Ibuprofen for inflammation and or pain!. Use a finger brace for activities you know will cause dislocation, as continued dislocation weakens and inappropriately stretches the tendon!. Consult a physician if it is pain full, conservative management (the above suggestions don't work,) or it seems to be worsening!. Consideration to surgery should be given!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
