It hasn't even been five months!. Depending on the extent of your injury and the skill of your surgeon as well as your therapist this could go on for well over a year until your knee starts to feel normal again!.

Please just keep hope alive!. :) Keep in mind that if you needed surgery, you hurt it really bad!. Its going to take a while but every week you will see slow improvement!. Keep following your doctors and therapists instructions and good results will follow!. Keep in mind that if you are still taking pain medication or anti-inflamitory drugs that this could be what is slowing progress!. Smoking also inhibits healing!. You can talk to your doc about this further!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It shouldn't still be like that, and you should definitley tell your doctor all this you don't want to make it any worse!.
Also though, while the bone may heal relatively fast, ligaments take much much longer to heal!.
But anyway, it shouldn't be that painful and swollen if it's just ligaments, so definitley see your doctor or surgeon asap!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My ankle was swollen for almost a year after a normal break!. Ligaments take a very long time to heal!. I have also had a plate and pins put in my shoulder (broken collarbone) amd that was uncomfortable for a long time!.
All I suggest is to do what the hospital says, which is usually walk on it and when too sore rest it!. It will get better in time!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you resting it!? if ur walking on it and being active its not going to heal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
