Question: Do you think my cut needs more than a bandaid!? !?
Okay so I did something really stupid!. I was opening a package but I had nothing to get through the tape, so I grabbed my hairdressing scissors (I'm in beauty school) and slit the box open, then I felt pain, and realized i had been holding it by the blade and it had sunk into my finger when I slashed the box open!. It is a brand new $130 razor sharp pair of scissors!. And I was retarded to use them on something like that, I was retarded to use them so carelessly!. Will bandaids be okay!? I mean, it's really deep, across my middle finger on my right hand!. I'm terrified of blood and feel faint at the site of it, so it may account for my nervousness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bandaides if it is that deep are not going to prevent the bleeding or promote healing!.
Grab a CLEAN, LINT FREE towel and firmly wrap your up in it!.
Place this hand above your heart level and KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!.
If blood passes through the towel DO NOT TAKE THE TOWEL OFF, just add another one to the top!.
You are going to need stitches!.
Are you at school at the moment!? Or at home!?
If at school let your Teacher know and get him/her to organize someone to take your to the Doctor or ER!. The same if at home and someones there!.
If no one is there to take you to the Doctor's DON'T DRIVE YOURSELF!. Ring a friend and get them to take you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you don't feel like going to a doctor, just run it under water for a bit and put a towel over it until the bleeding slows down then put a band aid over it!.
If the bleeding doesn't slow down a lot after like 10-15 minutes of heavy pressure with a towel, then you'd be best advised to go see a doctor!. Unfortunately, you might be waiting a long time (went in to see a doctor in the emergency room about a gaping wound on my face and waited for a long, long time)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the cut is longer than 12mm or half an inch i'd be going to the doctors to get it stitched, if you don't you could end up with a wide scar, i know because i have a few i didn't get stitched!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Place the finger under cold water til the bleeding subsides then dry it thoroughly, if it is slightly gaped open then gently place it together & place a band aid on it!. If its really really deep & gaped open then u need stitchesWww@Answer-Health@Com
If it's bleeding outside a normal band aid or two then you probably need stitches and should go to the doctor/hospital!. Good luck with thatWww@Answer-Health@Com
