My ears tend to "buzz" a lot?!

Question: My ears tend to "buzz" a lot!?
i usually have to sleep with a somewhat noisy fan to get to sleep, and sometimes i will wake up and my ears will be buzzing pretty loudly!. even sometimes randomly during the day i will hear it!. (not to where i can't hear other things though)

i heard from my psychology class that it's hair cells dying in my ear when you hear the "buzzing"

1!. is this bad!?
2!. is that true, the second thing i said!?
3!. do the hair cells grow back!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
a 'somewhat noisy fan' should not damage the hairs unless it is more like REALLY NOISY and right up near your ear canal!. do you listen to loud music during the day!?!? yes, it is true that the sound waves will break the delicate hair in the ear canal, and NO they do NOT grow back!. deafness due to this type of trauma is permanent!. not sure what the buzzing can be but if it persists and limits your daily ability to funciton, see an audiologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tinnitus has no known cause, but it is generally associated with hearing loss!. It CAN happen when you have hair cells die, but you can have up to 30% hair cell damage and have almost no hearing loss present!. As for question 3, no, hair cells do not grow back!. Once they're damaged and die, they're gone forever!.

Tell your psych teacher that their info is NOT correct!. Tinnitus does not have a known cause as of now, and I don't really know what they'd be doing talking about it in a psych class!. Anyway!.!.!.

The fact that you say your hearing is "more sensitive" suggests to me that you DO have a hearing loss!. Hyperacusis is indicative of hearing loss!.!.!. so if it were me, I'd get my hearing evaluated!. You should go talk to an Audiologist about it, get your hearing checked and see what's going on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tinnitus!. I believe it's usually a circulation issue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go see an audiologist or a Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) doctor!. If the hair cells are really dying, you need to try to stop it!.
