Question: Scratched my eyeball, will it be okay!?
Last friday someone poked me in my eyeball(the white part) with their fingernail!. It only had been hurting when I'm in sunlight, like some kind of nerve was sensitive!. But today(wednesday) my eyeball has turned red!. Will my eye be okay!? what should i do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

My oldest daughter did that to me once when she was younger!. I went to the eye doctor and he gave me 2 kinds of eyedrops, one for the pain and the other was an antibiotic to make sure there was no infection!. He also looked to make sure the scratch was superficial and didn't cause eye damage!. I followed up with my regular MD since I needed a referral slip for the eye doctor because of my insurance!. The medical doctor will usually also examine the eye and will give you eye drop antibiotics and a patch to put over your eye!. You may want to have your eye checked by one of these professionals just in case - you wouldn't want to lose your eyesight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
