When you make a 999 call, what is the decision-making process (if one exists) as to whether an air ambulance or normal (road) ambulance is called to the scene!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

When a relative had a fatal accident it was on a narrow country road during the busiest time for travelling and in view of this the air ambulance was called!. It must have been a rapid decision as he was pronounced dead at the scene, the helicoptor didn't even land, but they were there overhead
