Once it gets to your feet, your blood has often given up a lot of the oxygen to other cells on the way down your legs!. This means it's not the bright red of blood closer to your heart, with greater oxygen content!. Also, it's possible that you cut a vein or the return capillaries rather than an artery or arterial capillaries, which would mean the blood was already a deep purple/blueish before exposed to the air where it could absorb oxygen!.
If your foot bled a lot I would suggest stitches because foot injuries can take a long time to heal since the blood flows so slowly!. You might also want to make sure it was cleaned out very well so there's no chance of infection!.
As far as the 'marbleizing,' I'm not sure what that could mean unless it was simply venous blood mixing with the already exposed blood!. If it happens again, talk to a doctor to confirm there's nothing more serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is a difference between veins and arteries!. oxygen is carried to your body's components in arteries!. veins carry the blood away from those components!. the blood going to the components is red because it carries the oxygen needed for your system!. the veins carry away the blood, minus the oxygen because the body's components took the oxygen out of the blood!. in removing the oxygen, the blood turns dark blue/purple!. note: when cut, you bleed, in the event you cut a vein, with dark blue blood, it appears red because when the blood reaches the outside environment, it immediately mixes with the oxygen in the air, and again, turns red!.
The blood contains Fe2+ !. When it goes through the heart it mixes with O(Oxygen) it turns red!. But when its coming back to your heart it picks up CO2 and the ion turns dark blue/purple!.

Sounds like you cut a vein!.
Veins transport blood back from body parts to the lungs where it can be re-oxygenated!.
Because the blood in a vein has already passed it's oxygen to parts of your body(in this case, your foot) they are instead filled with carbon dioxide causing the blood cells to turn purple!.

If you were to cut an artery(Not advised), which contains oxygen rich cells, then you would see bright red blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

all it means is that the blood in your foot didn't get enough oxygen!. when oxygen mixes with blood, it turns red!. but when there is a lack of oxygen, it turns purple/blueWww@Answer-Health@Com

You either have a infection or not enough oxygen is getting into your blood stream which is critical!. I suggest going to a doctor soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my GUESS would be not enough oxygen in your blood!. you know your blood is blue until the oxygen hits it then it is red!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
