Does it hurt to get braces and the herbsts appliance?!
Question: Does it hurt to get braces and the herbsts appliance!?
I am getting braces and a herbsts appliance next month!. My neighbor has the appliance and she said it hurt, but does that mean it will hurt for me!? I have some questions!.!.!.
1!. If it does hurt how long!?
2!. Does it hurt getting braces on!?
3!. Does the appliance pinch your cheek!? If so what can I do to stop it!?

1!. Braces will hurt for about 1-2 weeks! 3 weeks at the most! I would reccomed getting jello, pudding, yogurt, and other soft foods!. Also be sure to have asprin at your house!
2!. I did NOT feel a thing when they put my braces on, In fact I didn't even know that they put them on until I looked into the mirror! But, theres alot of things that they have to do to you, some of it hurts a TINY bit, but mostly its alright!
3!. Usually not, braces wont pinch you, but wires might! The dentist/orthodontist willmost likely give you this waxy stuff to put on any poking things that bug you! Also, they usually ask if anything is poking you, so you should be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it hurts for a few days!. take some tylenol!. you'll be fine!. with braces, its the same thing!. its because everything is being tightened and being pulled together!. the appliance never pinched my cheeks, but it did give me canker sores!. buy some Oragel to put on it!. its a numbing agent that will take the pain away in your mouth!. oh and follow the rules as to what you can and can't eat!. i broke my appliance five times because i didnt follow the rules!. and that gets expensive!. so be careful!. i hope i helped!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
