Toenail barely hanging on...? what should I do?!

Question: Toenail barely hanging on!.!.!.!? what should I do!?
Ok, this happened about a week ago and so far, i've just left the toenail hanging!.!.!.

but im just wondering,

ok, the toe is the toe right beside my big toe!.!.!.

like the left half of the toe nail is hanging off and right half of it is still intact!.

the colour is!.!. sorta dark redish (like the colour of a scab!.!.!.)

Should I pull the whole thing off!? Or leave it till it falls off on it's own!.!.!?

also, how long will it take for the nail to grow completely grow back to normal!.!.!? (cause!.!. it's kinda embarassing walking around with no toenail !.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
As the new toenail grows in, it pushes the old toenail off!. If it is intact on one side try to leave it until it will pull off very easily, with no pain and without bleeding!. You should cut a band aid in half and put it over the nail to keep from snagging it on something and ripping it off!. The only reason the new toe nail would grow in abnormally would be if you damaged the nail bed matrix(the area where the nail grows out from) when you originally injured the toe!. It can sometimes take up to a year to grow completely back in!.!.!.but on average usually 6 months or so!.

If it is just dangling pull it off it is only going to annoy you, if not leave it it will fall of in good time!.Don't worry about the left over it will grow out slowly and into a full toe nail, you will cut off the length as it grows naturrally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get to a podiatrist fast!. I left a problem unattended and wound up needing surgery this past October!. Avoid the knife inside you at all costs!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wrap it w/ some type of bandage but allow it to breathe occasionally(unwrap it once a day or every other day for a while)!. Oh, trim away what is not in tact!. Continue this until it grows out to a more comfortable length!.!.!.good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
