I have a 102.2 fever (and rising)...?!


Question: I have a 102!.2 fever (and rising)!.!.!.!?
Last week, I didn't sleep much at all (probably 25 hours from Monday-Thursday) and I started getting sick on Friday!.
Earlier I had a fever of 100!.4!. I took Advil and it went UP to 101!.7!. Now my fever is at 102!.2!.!.!.
I'm 16 years old, and my dad doesn't really believe in doctors!.!.!. He will take me, but not for a day or two!. BUT tomorrow I have an AP test and 2 IB quizzes!.!.!. Should I miss school!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

no!.!.!.!. a fever is the body's way of fighting off the sickness and if you dint get rest the body cant fight it off and when you have a fever it usually means it contagious!.!.!.!.get your rest instead of getting everyone sick and getting a bad grade because you dint feel well and cant concentrate!.!.!.!.get better soon!.!.!.hope i helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com

~~You should not go anywhere until your fever is gone!. You are exposing everyone else to your bug, besides weakening your own immune system!.

To help lower your fever, take a luke warm bath and soak awhile!. Only wear light cotton clothing, and cover with no more than a sheet!. You don't want to keep in the heat!. You need to keep your fever no higher than 101 degrees!. So anytime it climbs above that, soak in the tub!.

I would miss school because you could end up getting everyone else sick, and if teachers know you are sick they'll send you to the office and you'll get sent home anyway!. Get well soon! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try tylenol, advil has a different active ingredient than tylenol and might work better for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
