Question: I CANT EVEN DO ONE GIRL PUSH UP W/O IT HURTING!!?
I'm so fed up!. I dont know what's wrong with me! I'm 16!. A girl!. I'm tall, 5'8 and weigh 136lbs!. I'm not fat or anything, not super skinny either!.

I cant do a girl push up, or a regular one!.
I get so frustrated with myself I start crying!.
I'm trying out for badminton this year and we had
to do 40 push ups!. Everyone was doing them without
much struggle but I was about to break down and cry!.
I cant go down and make a 90degree angle
without it hurting!.

I have extremely long arms and legs!.
Which makes it even harder for me to
push down because i have to push down
even farther bc of my long arms!.
I'm not scrawny!. I have muscles in my arms!.
When I flex you can clearly see them!.
And i'm pretty sure i'm doing the push ups right!.
I've had pe teachers and others tell me i'm in
the correct position!. My lower back seems to
sink down when i do push ups too!. I just cant keep
it up and it makes that hurt too!. I think i have back
problems because my back hurts constantly without
even doing anything!. Is that the problem!?
UGH HELP

I want to cry!. Why cant i do this!?

i think your problem might be with your core strength!. you probably have the arm and muscle strength to do a girl push up (i lOVE doing girl pushups! and i'm a guy hahahahaha)!.

See, your core muscles generally consist of your abs and your lower back muscles support a lot of your body weight and what not!.

I would suggest that you start doing some crunches and ab strengthening exercises before you get too into the pushups thing!. I'm a runner, and having a CORE is more important than having STRONG LEGS and what not!. If you don't have a core, you can't maintain good running posture that will allow you to run more smoothly!.

So, get into the habit of getting those abs!! start small and build up!. That's what I would do! and DoN'T be frustrated with your inability to do a pushup!.

Crying won't solve anything!. It lets out stress and emotion, but you can do a LOT more by channeling that energy it takes to cry towards doing something else!.!.like ab workouts!

Remember:
GOOD posture is helpful!.
CORE muscles help maintain good posture and keep you looking smooth!. (they are sexy too!.!.on either guys OR girls!! :D )

and

POSITIVE attitude is a mUST!.
