Is this unhealthy? Sleeping habits?!

Question: Is this unhealthy!? Sleeping habits!?
Well I've gotten into the habit of sleeping pretty late at night because I'm a student and I'm always busy doing my schoolwork and extracurricular activities!.
On normal weekdays I go to sleep at around 1AM and wake up around 6-6:30AM!.
If I get tired during the day, I come home and take a nap for like 2 or 3 hours at the maximum!.
But on weekends I try to go to sleep earlier, around midnight or something and wake up at around 9AM or 10AM!.
Is this a bad habit!?
And I've started taking melatonin to help me sleep at night because I can't seem to fall asleep earlier than my usual time, 1AM!.
Is melatonin supplements bad!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would be healthier for you to get a little more sleep during the week!. 5 to 5 1/2 hours is not enough!. People really require 7-8 hours on the average not to be sleep deprived!. I have known people who can function reasonably well with 6 1/2 or 7, but 5 is just not enough!.
