Question: Advil/Tylenol and skating!?
EVERY time I skate, I get an extremely bad headache in the back of my head!. I took advil and tylenol for 3 weeks every day so I could skate, but have recently laid off of them for a month for fear of addiction(Can I)!. Anyways, I tried skating the other day and got one of my full on headaches for a while!.
I guess my question is, can I become addicted to ibuprofen, advil, etc!?

Addiction occurs when when the drug inhibits your ability to live life without turning to that drug to feel normal!. An NSAID or non-steroidal anti inflammatory, and acetaminophen will only become a habit if you make it one!.
At worst, your body will get used to having the pain treated, and it may take more and more relief to rid your headache!. This is not good primarily with acetaminophen because it destroys the liver in excess amounts! So to answer your question, unless you're using an opiate to remedy the pain, it won't be addictive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
