It can come from a genetic defect of the abdomnal wall!. Obesity!. Pregnancy!. Lifting something way too heavy!. It is quite unusual for a female to get a hernia unless she is very heavy, but it happens!. It usually occurs in the groin, under the ribs, or in the navel area!. You know because it is very painful!. In extreme cases you can feel the bulge!. With time you may get fever, unable to eat, unable to use the bathroomWww@Answer-Health@Com
