What is the cause for "brain noise" or as some know as ringing in ear?!

Question: What is the cause for "brain noise" or as some know as ringing in ear!?
It is heard when you lay down to sleep!. I guess what started this is my "brain noise" (bn) is not too bad yet!. I have a friend who is much older than me and he can't sleep at night because of the bn!. He struggles and dozes but never quite gets the full sleep he requires!. Most of us are probably in that corner anyway!. If you have found what helps to reduce or camouflage it share it!. If you have any web sights for info share it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tinnitus is when it's bad!. But the ringing noise in the ear is normal!. it happens when cilia or the tiny hairs in your ear come into contact with your eardrum!. It's almost always there, but you only notice it when it's very quiet (hence the term deafening silence)!. you can minimize your chances of Tinnitus by taking calcium!. your friend can tune the ringing out by introducing another low level noise into his environment!. There are (quite pricey) white noise generators available!. But a TV on a non-channel or static screen or turning a small fan in the room will also do the trick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have it too!. Its called tinnitus (spelling!?) Mine isn't just when I lay down to sleep though!. Mine is a constant high pitched ringing in my ears all day every day!. I've had it for as long as I remember!. I think its because my dad always played music super loud and I still do!. Its annoying and I do have to have either a tv or radio playing so I can sleep since it dulls the ringing out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I leave the Tv on all nite!.!.!.!.on low sound!.!.!.!.or you can get some CDs to play that play ocean sounds, or soft Indian type music, w/pipes and very restful sound!. Leave the radio on, on a station that plays music all nite!. These things have always helped me!. I can't go to sleep w/o the TV on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
