Answers:
YES TELL YOUR BOSS IMMEDIATELY, as you are now aware of a health and safety breech, you must take the kettle away or if scared turn it off at the mains and not allow anyone to use it, you can also be held responable for any injury that someone may get from this appliance!.

as to weather you have a long term injury it is very unlikely, you got a jolt , but someone who has a illness weak heart etc may react different!.

unplug kettle and REMOVE THE KETTLE NOW!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would tell your "boss" as soon as!.
The area needs to isolated or made safe instantly!.
I wouldn,t go near this area again until all safety checks have been by a "electrician" etc!.
I would put danger signs around the area!.
I would also go see a "doctor" for a check up to be certain!.
