Should I take a trip to the doctors?!

Question: Should I take a trip to the doctors!?
A few weeks ago, I was engaging in some physical activities, and somehow I messed up my wrist!. I'm pretty sure I fell on it wrong and bent it someway it shouldn't be bent!. Over the weeks, it has gotten worse, not to the point of intense pain, but enough to slow down my daily activities such as writing!. It does hurt to move it and rotate my wrist, and I cannot lift objects that are a certain weight!. Is it just a sprained wrist, or is it something I should have the doctor take a look at!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A quick and cheap doctor visit for an x-ray couldn't hurt, assuming you have medical insurance!. If it is still hurting after a few weeks and hasn't gotten better, it's probably something more substantial than a sprain!. I would see a physician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes I would go to the doctor!. You may have sprained your wrist and he can show you the proper use of a wrist brace which will help and also some physical therapy!. You also might have torn your carpal tunnel nerve and that most times requires surgery!. But definitely find out - untreated it could turn into something more serious involving your whole armWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think I know that one!. If you had really injured your wrist you would have had massive pain right away!. But your pain got worse over a week - I think what you have is a "dislocation" of a very special kind!.

A chiropractor can fix this pretty quickly - what might be happening is that the carpel bones (wrist bones) can drift (or be pushed) ever so slightly up between the ulna and the radius of the lower arm!. You can sometimes do this and not even know you did it!.

This misplacement of bones, spreads the Ulna and Radius apart just a tiny amount - it fouls up the mechanical advantage of your hand - then this bothers the nerves in the wrist and hurts like the Dickens and leads to weakness!.

So one thing to try is to go get some of those plastic bags they use at the super market - they put your groceries in them and they have loop handles!. Fill a couple sacks with something heavy - two of three BIG bottles of Coke for example - 4 or 5 lbs!.

Then hook these loop handles up around your wrist so you aren't holding the bags with your fingers - and then let the weight gently traction your arms - relax from your shoulder to your hand!. And this can get the carpel bones back to where they should be!. Give it a try and then see if the next day you feel better - also after you do this, you might ice down your wrists for a while!.

If it doesn't work after a couple tries, see if you can find a chiropractor!. They can just pop these carpels back to where they're supposed to be in a second!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
