1!. I don't live in CO!. so I don't know what shots they do!. If it's like my state if I remember correctly, my children go their boosters and the Hep!. B series and they just got the Meningitis Vaccines!. I may not completely be remembering right so don't completely take my word on this one, lol!.

2!. I don't think that you can!. Maybe your parents, but it has to be more of a reason than just that you don't want to get a shot!. As you are still a minor, your parents are calling the shots kiddo!.!.!.!.sorry :(

3!. You might have an out with this one!. If you are running a fever and have an infection or an illness then they will usually wait until it is cleared up before giving them to you!. But you will end up having to get them in a week or two anyway!. And the wait will make your anxiety even worse!. So if yo can, get it done as soon as possible!. Then it will be over with and there will be nothing left to worry abott, yay!!!

4!. Don't think that you can sweetie:)

In most cases I have found that the worst part of getting shots is the anxiety before you actually get them!. My step daughter used to flip out at the though of getting her shots!. When I took her to get hers before 7th grade she was hysterical! She was crying and actually screamed and then we told her it was done and she started cracking up laughing!. She didn't even feel it at all!. She had no idea that it had been done!. After that she does much better!. She doesn't let herself get worked up like that anymore!.

I can tell you that the more relaxed your muscles are the less it hurts and the easier the needle goes in!. It is harder to give an injection to someone whose muscles are tensed up!. I always try to relax patients before I give them their shot and talk to them in a very calm voice and I have always had them tell me that it didn't hurt at all!. I have been thanked for taking the time and have them relax themselves before the injection!. It really does make a difference!.

And, finally!. Needles never used to bother me much!. But, now they are truly excruciating to me!. You see, I have M!.S!. and because of the nerve pain I get from it, the needles are almost unbearable so I have had to find ways to relax myself even more and to help reduce the pain or I hurt for hours to days afterward!. I have found that taking some Advil before I get to the doctor or lab helps a lot!. And also, I place ice packs at the injection site to numb the area up a bit!. These help a lot!. I am constantly getting blood drawn and I don't have a choice so I just deal with it the best way that I can!. I have a Neurologist appointment soon and it will be decided them what medication I will start!. The only way MS medication is given is by injection!. Depending on the kind that is chosen to be best for me, I will be getting an injection either once a week, twice a week, three times a week or giving them to myself everyday!. So, when you go in for yours, just be thankful that it's only once in a great while and not everyday or even every week:)

I know you can do it!.!.!.!.if I can, you certainly can!. Just decide that you are going to be brave, remind yourself that you are protecting your health and that is very important and responsible and take two or even three Advil (Ibuprofen) *over the counter 200mg each*, use the ice packs (take along your own just in case) and most importantly, relax those muscles!. I promise than if you keep them relaxed it won't hurt nearly as bad as you think:)

You're going to be fine:) And, take along your favorite candy bar to reward yourself afterward> I think doctor's offices should offer lollipops and stickers to older kids and adults too:) Don't you!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm guessing you've never had one before!. They don't hurt, I promise, even if you have a low tolerance for pain!. You're stressing yourself out over nothing!.

You have to get certain shots to go to school, whether you like it or not!. And if you go to college, you'll probably have to get more!.

You shouldn't have to get shots for a cold or ear infection!. Sometimes you can choose to get a shot instead of antibiotics, which some people do because they work faster, but you don't have to!.

Basically there's no way to get out of ever having a shot if you want to have a normal life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you shouldn't need any shots unless you are behind schedule for some reason!. You wouldn't be able to get out of getting a vaccination that is required for you to have to go to school at age 13!. If you have a bad cold your doctor may decide to wait on giving certain vaccinations since it is best not to give them to people with a weakened immune system!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well I can't answer your first question because I don't live there!.

2) No, you have to get shots!.
3) I've never had a shot for a cold or an ear infection!. they usually use antibiotics in pill form!.
4) You don't exactly get that choice, but eventually you wont have to get them very often!. If you're healthy, you should only have to get the tetanus shot every ten years!.

is that the shot that you're getting!? i think i was in 7th or 8th grade when i got my last tetanus shot!.

just try to be relaxed and calm, it's more likely to hurt if you're stressed out or tense!. good luck!. i hope all goes well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh just suck it up and take the shots!! they're over in like, 3 seconds and barley hurt at all during them! just don't look at it while they're giving it to you!. geez!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
