This could be dry skin in the creases of the joints!. Or it could be a nerve issue, which will probably resolve in a few days!. You indicate skin, so chances are it's dry skin, so a form of dermatitis!.
Hope it gets better soon!. If it's red and sore, then you may need a course of corticosteroids!.
