Have you tried this nursing trick!? Place a warm pack to the extremity- place a warm towel around the extremity for a couple minutes, this will puff up the vein a little!.
Depending on where you want to place the iv, look at the top of the hand- between the 2nd and 3rd fingers, about an inch below the knuckles, you will see a Y- where 2 veins meet!. Go above this point, by going slightly above this site you should miss the valve!.
The antecube (inside of the elbow) is usually easy to hit, just go to the center, go shallow at first and gradually you feel resistance, this is the wall of the vein!. Once you feel that you drop the needle into the vein!.
The best way to improve your skills is to simply just practice more!. Once you get your confidence, you can get just about any vein, even if you can't see it!. Remember, that people that are athletic or very muscular are a harder stick, their skin and the wall of the veins are harder, and you have to push the needle just a little bit harder!. Don't worry though, you will get the hang of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What are you talking about!? Fish, why!? Why are you sticking needles in yourself!? Well!. The answer anyway is to tie a belt around your arm or put a band or something on it so the veins all pop out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
