Question: How bad is it going to hurt!?
Hi, I have to get cortisone shots in my wrists, and I want to know how the pain is!. I've had friends that have had them in their knees and elbows and back and stuff, but never wrists!. I heard wrists don't hurt as bad!. Does anyone know!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not sure how much it will hurt!. However, most of the people that I know have said that any cortisone shot hurts no matter where they get it!. Can i ask!.!.!.why are you getting the shots!?
Cortisone shots are given generally in the tendons or possibly the joint to decrease inflammation, however, they only cover up the symptoms for a time!. You will need to find out exactly which tendons are affected and learn stretches or exercises that will help reduce the inflammation!. If you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results!. You have to balance out the joint once the inflammation is gone, not before!.
Another thing to consider is this: even if the cortisone shot does hurt a lot, it won't hurt forever!. If you don't do something about the pain, your wrists will keep hurting just like they are now!. So, I would say to just remember that the pain from the shot will only last a few days at most and let up!. (at least in general)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont think it will hurt that much but everyone is different!.!. My mother got cortisone shots in her shoulder and she diden't even flinch only because its a needle!.!. I think it feels pretty much like getting your blood taken!.!.
If you have normal veins then I dont think it will be too terrible!
