Rest!. Lots of hydrating fluids!. Eat healthy!. Take something at night that is a cough supressant and decongestant, like Nyquil or Sudafred variant!.

As for preventing a cold, I really like products like Zicam, Coldeze and Sambucol!. Zicam is quite expensive, but I got samples of the nasal gel at work and I use them at the first sign of a cold and they do work!. Coldeze is similar and much less expensive!. Sambucol is liquid derived from the elderberry plant and is clinically shown to help lessen the chances of a cold!. Its expensive but does work!.

I usually use the Sambucol/Zicam combo at the first sign of a cold and I rarely get sick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes , there is !.
cold is self-limiting the body will fight the virus in a week or a week and a half , so you need to rest and sleep a lot , at least 8 - 12 hours daily and take vitamin C !.
go to the pharmacy you can buy some over the counter drugs , like solpadenine to fight headache , otrivin which is used as a nasal decongestant !. and any cough preparation !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately!.!.!.colds generally last 7 days no matter what you try to do for them!. It is important to drink a lot of fluids as this helps thin out the mucous which in turn helps alleviate some of the pressure in your nose and head!. Sometimes steamy showers will help!. You can use Tylenol or Motrin for the fever/aches, and then try to get plenty of rest!. Some people benefit from using a decongestant like Sudafed!.
Hope you are feeling better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Besides over the counter cold medicine, I would suggest hot soup (which will give you strength on fighting the cold plus help clear out your nasal passages) AND PLENTY of Vitamin C - juices!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
