You likely have otitis media (ear infection) or it could be that you are only noticing your ears because you are coughing and sneezing a lot and may have a wax build-up!.
Generally i would say live with it for a couple of days - take analgesia regularly - if no improvement in 48hrs make an appointment with your DR!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it is possible that the cold has irritated your ears!. Sinuses can drain to your ears and cause itchiness and soreness!. If left untreated your ear will get worse!. You should see your doctor and get antibiotics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
