Its been 14 days since ive quit smoking cigs. Why do i sleep so much?!

Question: Its been 14 days since ive quit smoking cigs. Why do i sleep so much?
I try to motivate myself but I get so tired i feel like i could pass out on the ground. If i wanted to i would sleep all day. but i sleep for at least an hour or 2 and still exhausted. Recently, ive been wanting to work out. But me sleeping has become more important to me than getting toned. Am I depressed? Im not sad about anything or stressed out. Im perfectly happy. Maybe its the process of quitting smoking...

Answers:

1- CONGRATS! I am SOOO proud of you.

2- At 14 days, you are at the toughest point of time in your quit, it gets easier from here. At 14 days, the anxiety levels peak. Every day from here on out gets easier.

3- Your brain chemistry is re-adjusting. Your pleasure center and metabolism centers are no longer all wrapped up in a nicotine addiction. Some people sleep like zombies when they quit, for about 3 weeks. Some people have super weird dreams. Your body is just reseting.

4- Every day, 300 people die from smoking. Every day you dont smoke, you lessen the likelihood of that being you.

5- I am so proud of you, thought I would say that one twice.

Quit 1 year and 2 months ago. Lots of weird experiences. I slept a lot for a month too. My teeth hurt, and I ate gummy bears nonstop, but I love being a nonsmoker. It is AWESOME.

Congrats first of all!

I often get that feeling. You need to set up a schedule and stick to it! Sometimes you can get tired and groggy from sleping too much, you know. I don't think you're depressed..

Get you 8 hours of sleep and maybe have a short nap. Get out there and moving, not matter how hard it is. You're body wil love you for it! Goodluck :)

SMoke a cig for some energy. If it's for energy and not amusement, its not addictive.
