Question: Question about my scoliosis?
i am 14 years old male i have scoliosis i was diagnosed in april of 2010, got to see the Specialist in october of 2010 which he said i need surgery. i have a 70 degree curve and have not heard anything back from the Specialist or anyone i would like to know how long should i have to wait for my surgery? and if you have anything to add about scoliosis please do cause i do not know that much about scoliosis thanks

Yes, that bad of scoliosis does need surgery as the doctor said. How long the wait will be depends on how heavy that particular doctors schedule is. That is a question only the doctor or nurse can answer. It is OK to call the office and just ask for an approximate generat wait is.

you should get a brace before doing the surgery... or go to a different specialist.
