Question: Will my Fingernail Heal?? Pleaseee help!!!?
Hi I was picking at my nail earlier today (really bad habit that I neeeeed to stop. I vow now that I will!) and somehow, the middle part of the nail came off. So basically there's nail, then a whole chunk of no nail and just flesh, then the remaining nail.
Will it heal properly?? Will the two pieces, erm, reconnect again?? And how should I treat this?

The nail will not heal. You will have to wait till it grows past the cuticle edge. This will likely take months and will be tender the whole time. Then you nail will be back to normal.

my whole nail came off once, if you could use common sense it will grow til a couple of weeks... make sure to put a bandage around it do it doesn't get infected. it might take a while to grow back but i would consider going to the doctor to find the appropriate medicine.
