Do hospitals care where you get your nursing degree from?!

Question: Do hospitals care where you get your nursing degree from?
do hospitals care where you get your nursing degree from? I want to become a nurse and the schools in california are overcrowded. Schools outside of CA are not though, UNLV has a nursing program that is cheaper than CA colleges and shorter too. What I want to know is will hospitals look at where I got my degree from or what I got on my NCLEX test?

Generally, hospitals are not concerned where you went to nursing school. However, they are concerned with the type of nursing education you have. You could be a diploma nurse with no degree, an associate degree RN, or a BSN,RN which has is a four year program. I highly recommend the BSN. With this you have more opportunities and can command more salary. As far as NCLEX all RN's take the same NCLEX license test. You can get your RN from an inexpensive nursing school but make sure they offer a BSN.
thanks.

No. All an employer cares about is that you have your license. There is no way for anyone to see what you got on the NCLEX. They won't even tell you. All you get is a pass/fail.
